Required Degree: BFA required; MFA in Graphic Design preferred
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Experience with communication with college-level students and collaboration with colleagues in a collegial manner. Teaching technical concepts requires an efficient thinker with a unique and enthusiastic approach to helping students.
Duties/Expectations: Teach DESGD 343: Typography II; DESGND 340: Branding; DESGD 440: Branding 2; DESGD 243: Typography; and DESGD 394R: Experimental Typography.
Courses must be taught in-person on a part-time basis for the graphic design area in the Department of Design using department-approved curriculum. Courses assigned may be taught day or evening.
The position will require lecturing, creating assignments, grading, critiques, communicating/responding to student emails, and mentoring students in their class(es). In addition to teaching courses assigned, adjunct faculty are expected to attend department training meetings. Part-time faculty are not required to hold office hours, attend staff meetings, or serve on committees.
